Streambank is tall for an young otter, almost all black with a brown and white speckled stomech. He has a long, firm rudder, hense the name Oaktail. He loves the water and mud, the forest, and pretty much anything except baths. He wants to grow up and travel to the mountain Salamandastron, to fight sea rats and capture one of their ships. Once he has a ship, he will set off on a journey across the ocean, looking for otters he could settle down with, like the island that many Redwall heros have found. If he finds an island inhabited by peaceful hedgehogs, he will join them istead. Streambank's favorite food is trifle, with lots of medowcream. He has a bow, and wishes to become an expert at it by visiting squirrels, for they are known as good bowbeasts. But wherever he travels, his friends at Redwall will always be in his heart.
