I was born 5 seasons ago,on Green Isle, in the summer of the singing bird.Me mum, Banya Streamdog, named me Thrush after that same singing bird. Me da, Throgg, is a woodworker, and he made me me bow. Mum met Da on one of auntie Tiria's royal visits to Redwall. Actually, they met over some watershrimp 'n hotroot soup.Now we live in Redwall falls 'n winters and on Green Isle springs 'n summers. We travel there and back with the Gousim shrews, on there logboats. I loves traveling with them, it's so exciting ! Auntie Tiria always jokes that I could float alongside the logboats on me rudder. It's as long as the rest of me body and as wide as 2 of Da's paws. I can be impatient, rude and I'm sure mum has said "look before you leap" to me at least 3,000 times, but I'm faithful, kind and I'm very flexible. . I'm also painfully shy .When I'm nervous, or around otherbeasts that I don't know ,I taps me rudder on the ground, the more nervous I gets, the faster I taps. Sometimes I have swimmin' races with me messmates, but I usually win because of me oversize rudder.Most other ottermaids me age make a big fuss over clothes, but I don't unnerstand why. I usually just wear a light green tunic belted at the waist with a brown barkcloth belt, and a small bow with a quiver( also barkcloth) slung across me back. Me life hasn't been very exiting thus far, but when I grow up I wants to travel all around mossflower, upholdin' the freedom of goodbeasts, and slayin' vermin ,like the long patrol do. Last fall I found out about DAB and I haven't been barthed since!
