I AM disgusted that Enga Governor Peter Ipatas and his provincial assembly are supporting the appointment of Dr Samson Amean as provincial administrator for another term (The National, Nov 18). The governor declared that Dr Amean had proven that he was the most qualified. What baloney. We have many other qualified officers far more better than the medical practioner who seems to sit on the sensitive issues of the province. Thus my opinion of Dr Amean is the exact opposite. What tangible projects had he achieved in his seven years as administrator? Look at the state of Wabag station. What about the morale of public servants in Enga? Law and order problems had continue to get heights and Dr Amean turned a blind eye.Dr Amean would be a last prefence for PA in Enga as he is technically not fit for the position.

Dr. Samson Amean is a relative of mine, but I would definitely say no to his second term appointment. I frankly express my opinions on the merit of serving the Office of the Administrator of Enga. He was promising when he took office but from an outside look, I think he has not delivered, point blank!! And Yutz I do agree with you that he should not be given a second term.

There is a huge lack of exposure of our promising professionals who are willing to serve the Enga Province and the Administration. I would only wish the population of Enga knew who, better candidate out there is genuinely fitting in this situation. If I was asked whom to go with from my personal standpoint I would have chosen the late Anderson Aipit if he was still alive. He was one promising Administrator who was steadfast and willing to bring change to Enga during his tenure in office as Administrator.

Having said that if the Governor was serious about development in Enga and the well being and the health of the province, I would think he'd go for a young and vibrant Engan crop who's equally well qualified and has no political affiliation whatsoever. A better way to handle this is to get a recruitment scout to Port Moresby, Lae or wherever there is a possibility an Engan potential can be harvested. And harvested NOT from the political or government firms but from a private enterprise where there is a proven track record to be shown for their achievements. A good example if I shall mention is Mr. Richard Yopo (Laiagam) BSP Operations Manager for Morobe Province (not sure if he's still there or moved on elsewhere). BAT PNG (British American Tobacco, PNG) Chief Financial Officer, John Simagu (Wabag) and many more in the likes who have no political affiliation. These are the type of crop that Enga needs at this day and age to change Enga. All the government needs to do is the provide conducive living for these crop to lure them into the province to serve the province.

It is indeed a sad story with all the political meddling in the province but I hope that one day, one will come to realize how serious this is to make the population of Enga suffer at the hands of unqualified political cohorts and their poor decision making in Enga.

Have you guys forgotten the Enga system....Samson is Ipatas' palingi....what make anyone of you think that Ipatas will change Amean. Amean is there to say "AMEN" to everything his palingi says.....so his nieces get richer and richer but I agree with you both that Amean is a useless piece of shit with only his guts to show for.

Dr Amean is best choice for Enga

Dr Samson Amean is the best choice for Enga
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I am writing to endorse Dr Samson Amean to continue as the Enga Provincial Administrator. As an ordinary Engan, I have observed his performance to be well above doubt. I consider Dr Amean to be one of the most studious and responsible administrators of Enga. He has an exemplary character, thinks analytically, is confident, and is quite enthusiastic towards his duties that inspires and motivates others.
His administration skills are complemented with creativeness, inventive and astonishingly he is effective. Dr Amean has distinguished himself as a conscientious and energetic pioneer in the field of administration. His integrity displays a deep understanding of the business with consistency. Willingness to admit, ability to listen, and effective decision-making have been the pillars of his administration over the years. Thus he has earned enormous respect for deploying his invaluable management and leadership skills.
His skills, which are so apparent in his administration, are equally impressive in Enga. He is an eager, enthusiastic administrator who is greatly admired by Engans. He leads management discussions and facilitates role-plays with great skills, and assists in the creation and execution of development programs. He is particularly gifted at identifying people's needs, encouraging their contributions, and involving them in planning processes. His commitment and passion for his work has been evident during his term in office.
Dr Amean is like spiritual sandpaper, if you manage to put up with him without completely losing your sanity, you will be rewarded with a fine sense of serenity that only the most accomplished Zen monks achieve.
In my opinion, Dr Amean's unwavering devotion to Enga exemplifies strong moral fibre and character. He is a trustworthy individual and is an excellent choice to continue as the Enga Provincial Administrator.

Kupstar, you are nothing but a fraud, many of your sentences are copy paste from George Fucou and Abraham Maslow's textbooks on culture, structure and strategy. Frauds like you and Samson are some of the causes of stagnation in Enga. You decorate him as you God but you fail to provide evidence and facts (results) of what Amean did in Enga. All I know of is him owning couple of houses and FWD land cruisers in Wabag.

We hope that the NEC will replace him with someone more competent and pragmatic.

Kupstar, if it is true that you live in China and assuming as if Enga is heading in the right direction, then I have to inform you as a fellow Engan that we have already gone to the dogs over the last seven years under your friend's administration (I needn't name hime because he is seen to be far more less than primary school headteacher would do.The public service mechanism in Enga is not that good and development has come to a standstill since. Every educated elite in the province pray that somebody who has the "know how' and heart for the province should be take the PA chair. Not the friend of yours (Kupstar) who is incompetent.

Disgusting, I felt like vommiting when I read the shit reported in the papers.

The EPG must be sick in the head to recommend Samson Amean again for another term? Only if theses MP's from the national and provincial governments or the PR officers can get access to comments highlighted in this forum... refer to the " Subject: Enga needs a Administrator who can stop tribal fights?"...

Hope NEC or the PSC can dump such ill-informed decision by EPG and recommend a fresh new blood to run the affairs of the province..
