I have the copies (Enga Telyam, Samuel Siki, Sharkitz, etc...) at home in a cassete form. Am still looking for an instrument which can convert them to a .mp3
If you know how, tell me or you can wait till I find one.
That sounds good. Atleast you have all the tapes around and secured.
There are so many ways of converting cassette tape to a format that can be recorded in CD.
a simple one (although compromising with hi-fi) is to play the cassette in a player and have the output of the player fed into the sound card of a PC and record the incoming sound signal using sound recording software in the computer.
the quality of the cable and connectors you use also affect the sound replication so see if these can be factored out as well if you are worried about sound quality.

A1-Hawks,
The news that you have all the Great Engan Albums is such a relief. Converting these cassettes to mp3 format is quite easy but as Lakani1 has mentioned, the quility of the final mp3 material is determined by how well you have your output connections set up and of course the whole digital mixing-process.
A1-Hawks, are you at home in Wabag or where exactly? Would'nt be a bad idea if we can get to gather. I have set up a mini-home studio (personal). If you need help, please let us now.
