He came in from work at the same time as he always did, a smile on his face. He liked coming into the peaceful, quite house ever day, smelling dinner simmering on the stove, hearing Christian's soft snores and then seeing his beautiful fiance stetched out either in their bed or on their couch. He loved coming home to a house instead of an apartment and he loved the way she made it her own, so it wasn't just his, it wasn't hers, it was theirs, a perfect mix of the both of them. He loved the baby's toys - even when they were all over the floor - because it showed that his son was happy and well cared for but most of all he loved how she just accepted him and Chris for who they were. She loved Vin even through all his faults and past indescrations, she loved Chris even though he was the product of some one night stand Vin had had with some woman, she took care of Christian like he was her own flesh and blood and at times, when Vin sat and thought about that, it literally choked him up. Shaking his head out of his thoughts, he slipped off his shoes and his suit jacket and came over to the couch, kneeling down beside her and brushing her dark hair out of her face. "Hi..." He whispered softly, his gaze adoring.

She stirred a little as he crouched down beside her, casting a shadow over her, and as his fingers brushed her hair back from her face and his voice penetrated her light sleep, she woke, a soft sound escaping her lips as she opened up her large rich brown eyes, a smile tugging instantly at her lips "Hey..." She reached her hand up to his face, her thumb brushing against his jaw tenderly as she gazed up at him "You're early aren't you?" She wasn't sure of the time- but she didn;t think it was past five yet. Its funny how things could turn around... Her life had been headed in a completely different direction to this two years ago, and all it took was a crisis for him and a screaming little baby bring her down the road they were now travelling down.
