It's a new marathon wich has never been held before..
It's a total other race as the international event in March.

In participation with the Gauteng Province department of Tourism, the North West Province department of Tourism, The South African Department of Tourism, Gerotek, the SunDome In Line Speed Skating Club Southern Cross Event Group SCEG invites you and your in line roller skater friends to come and join us in South Africa on the 16th of September 2001 for our first in line roller skating marathon in this country
As you will stay a week with us, we want to keep you busy. In the program you will find a lot of
a.. sporting activities
b.. cultural activites
c.. tourist activities
Our package will include EVERYTHING, except alcoholic beverages, tips and personal gifts. Flights from and to your Country to South Africa, all meals, accomodation, transport, taxes, insurances, sport, cultural, touristic activities, the competition itself, are included in the package
You and your equipment will come for free as long as you are sponsored and with that you will discover, in a very busy week, the wonders that this country, South Africa, has to offer you. If you are lucky or among the best, you will automatically be selected for our next event, which will be held in september 2002.
We encourage your club to send one or more skaters for this event, support her/him/them in their search of sponsors. It will be an excellent opportunity for the lucky ones to visit a very interesting country and gather with roller skaters from all over the world.
