Amazing what animals can be trained to do. I have never done more than brood a very few chicks in my house.I have an attached porch that is enclosed..heated and cooled with WINDOW UNITS! Really it is heated with a propane heater. Wonder if that would have been good for your chat? Now the birds bought their own Hatchin' Hut to keep it all outside. Heated and cooled as needed!

We still have a "more modern" house in the city but we have gone back to our grand parents roots in the country. We much prefer this life to having neighbors so close you hear it all!
