Wow, Brooke. That description of the pregame events at the Braves Stadium sounds pretty impressive. It was an emotional day wasn't it? Seeing the planes crashing into the WTC towers again on the TV brought up some of those intense emotions again that, over the past year, had tended to subside. What a senseless trajedy this all is. Unfortunately, I was on the road again, traveling, and I spent the night at a $2 movie house watching "The Sum of All Fears" with Ben Affleck and Morgan Freeman. Surprisingly, if you've not seen it, it is a story about a terrorist group who gets hold of a nuclear bomb and sets it off in Baltimore. I didn't know what the movie was about before seeing it and it just helped to intensify some of the repressed anger I think so many of us feel. Now, we wait to see what happens with the United Nations Security Council and wheter Iraq allows weapons inspectors in, or stays defiant. I spend momemts wondering and worrying about what will happen; I have a 14 year old son and any parent worries whether this could escalate into a long term conflict and will their son be affected. I certainly pray that it will not come to that. But, I also understand this action is preventative. Can we afford to do nothing and wait for the next WTC-type disaster to occur first? I don't think so. HDad
