:-: Annie Jeng stumbles for a glass of water. Her hands trembled when she poured from the pitcher. She chugs it down, almost gagging. She chucks the tin cup into the sink, breathing heavily. Once she comes back to normal, she walks into the kitchen, forcing her quivering to stop using sheer will. She comes back out with a plateful of creampuffs. She mutely forces herself to put it down steadily on the table instead to chuck it out the window. She slumps into her seat, “I can’t go on like this. Everyone will think I’m hysterical or even mad. Maybe some tea will help.” She gets back up and fixes two cups of hot tea. She swiftly glides back to her seat and places the drinks down. She rocks in her chair, tipping it slightly, thinking about what others had said to her in her 17 years. :-:
