Subject: No Rest For The Dead, Part 2

The next morning at the break of dawn the party continued their journey to Telima. After a hard days ride, they finally arrived at the town during the hour of twilight. As the party of warriors entered the town gates, residents looked upon them with suspicsion.

"Their paranoia is warranted." Teke exaplined to her riding partners.

All structures on the main street were made of wood except for the mayors house and what appeared to be a house of government. Smaller streets branched off from the main one.

"Those roads lead to the diffrent farms in the area." Teke exaplained as her fellow warrors took a careful look at the town.

They rode past a few shops, a couple of small religious temples, and a gaurd house. It was a small fortress, mainly a stable for the soldiers horses, but it looked defensible. The soldiers standing gaurd there looked upon the party with both malice and curiosity.

The tallest building in Telima was beyond a doubt the tower ahead of them. Obviously containing some magical power, Teke explained to her comrades that the door to the tower was locked and protected by a magical spell.

There was a circular area below the tower where the ground was charred. "That is from Sigil, the local mage. Just before i left in search of help, the zombies attacked. They evacuated as many people as they could into the tower and the gaurd house. When the zombies appeared, Sigil hurled a mighty fireball at them"

Teke looked up at the top of the tower and saw the dark form that must have been Sigil. The party continued to ride toward the Inn until they were stopped by Aaron, the Captain of the Guard.

"Hold there, what is your business in Telima?" Aaron asked, almost threateningly. Other townspeople stopped what they were doing to watch what would transpire.

"It is I, Teke Daggerscout, returning with the help you seek."

"Ah! Teke! Truthfully i did not expect you to return. This is good news indeed! Please, let me escort you to the Inn."

Aaron walked with the horses to the Inn and then left the party to settle themselves in. Soon Aaron returned informing them that the mayor, Johann Bottlebottom, wished them all to join him for dinner. It would not be ready for several hours, so Aaron encouraged them to familiarize themselves with the town until them. Aaron bid them farewell, and left again.

Teke went to the Tavern on the Inn's first floor and got herself a warm drink to pass the time with.
