He holds both hands out in a mocking plea, directed at Taylor. "Oh, I'm so terribly scared. After all those other thugs a girl my age just horrifies me," he spits sacastically. Then he had his own mental struggle; give it back or no. Hmm. Tough choice. Well, if Hali was telling the truth...He looked at her. Why would she be so desperate about three coins? Perhaps it was something more personal. His theif side wanted a look. Maybe...He struggled for a moment before pulling the purse from his vest. Through it he felt the money, esitmating. Probably not much. He wanted to give it Hali, he needed the coins, and he didn't want to back down from Taylor. Again he hesitated. Finally he gave it back, emptying it first of coins, and muttered something suspiciously like, "Briar, your going soft..." Then he glared at Taylor. With his gaze facing the larger girl he watched Hali out of the corner of his eyes, in case she made a move. He also spoke to her. "You'll find something of use in your pocket. Least, of more use to you then me." That was where he had placed the emereald traced in purple. He tensed, ready to make a quick exit through the window if nessecary.
