Subject: Beginnings & Endings

The door opened and a tall young woman entered. Her slim frame would have fit nimbly through the door frame if it wasn't for the two leather suitcases she carried at her sides. The young woman managed to somehow guide her way through the doorway without much of a hassle and set the luggage down on a twin bed in one of the un-used bedrooms. Her narrow grey eyes surveyed the room carefully. A look of approval crossed her tan face as another young lady entered the bedroom. There was a shoulder bag strapped on her shoulder and a cat lay contentedly in her slender arms.
"Well Ra-?" She seemed to catch herself on her words.
"I mean Lane? What do you think?" she seemed to be waiting for an approving nodd, but Lane would not give it.

"It will do Wren." The woman finally said, turning, her dark hair falling on her shoulders. "For now."

A sigh emmitted from the girls red lips as the silver tabby jumped from her arms. She walked over to the bed and limply sat down. Lane strode over to the bed and stood directly in front of the woman, who was more like a girl to her.

"Be more careful," She said in a harsh wisper for Wren's ears only "We can't afford careless mistakes." Lane directed with narrow eyes.

"I know, I know. It could cost me my life." She threw back, hearing the words many times before. "I want to have a life though..."

"Well If you aren't more careful you never will."

And that was that. There seemed to be a heavy weight in the room but the two returned to their task of unpacking quickly.
