Subject: Did the fig tree stay outdoors all winter?
In reply to: TomG. 's message, "Hello Summie!!!" on 18:08:50 04/05/05 Tue

Is it hardy enough to withstand that? (I don't know from fig trees!) What did you do with your harvest last year?

We are in the process of getting roofers in to take a look. Fortunately, there's no rain in the forecast for the week, so we hope to get someone in to figure out what's going on. We've had this happen before and we know it's a matter of time before the entire roof needs to be replaced; we're just trying to put that off until we're in a better position to deal with it.

In the meantime...we bought a new car. Yes, Mapguy has chosen his midlife crisis car, and it's a nice Acura TL. Sharp little vehicle, I have to say. What I like best: different climate controls for the driver and the passenger. No more I-turn-the-heat-up-he-turns-the-heat-down the entire ride!

It was a beautiful day today, wasn't it? The forsythia are just about out, the daffodils are in bloom and even the hyacinth we have in our little flower box are peeking through. I knew there was hope when I saw the crocuses bloom a few weeks ago.
