Just noticed a couple of days late. Sorry for "dying off" but as with everyone else I've been ridiculously busy these past few months.

Nicky is now 1 year old. Can you believe it?!?! I got laid off from my job and have been collecting to be a stay-at-home mom. I tell ya! Working outside the home is WAY easier... and I have just the ONE kid! I don't know how moms do it - especially those with a bunch of little ones running around. BUT my unemployment end in September so I guess next month I will start my job search.

Let me do a quick catch-up: hhmmm, where to start... well this past Xmas was a little bittersweet as it was our first without my Dad but was also Nicky's first. I was worried when I first lost my job but now I'm worried about going back to work. I finally got into my groove and it's all going to change again in a couple of months. Nicky turned one on 7/2 and I turned 36 on 7/14. His party was nothing fancy, just the family out in the yard & we catered from our local Italian restaurant (the stuffed shells were off the hook!). They found something on my mammogram a month ago so I had to go for a biopsy - when the words "benign" and "no cancer" came out of my Dr.s' mouth I literally felt the weight come off my shoulders. Nicky's been diagnosed w/the same kind of anemia that I have (thallesemia, also known as Mediterranean Anemia) so I started him on an Iron supplement and hope he will grow out of it.

We love living in Union Township and we still have an OPEN INVITATION to any of you who would like to come visit.
