it reads Dear Master Harper, I have been sent to you by the harper from my hold, he says that maybey if I am very good and listen to you very well and do everything you say mabey I could be a harper...I would like very much if you would let me be your aprentice, and I would try very very hard. Someone said that you would be gone for a while so I decided to leave this note for you. I guess that I will leave my things in the apprentice dorimatory for now..sense there don't seem to be many people around..and then I will go to the wyer and maybe they will let me look at the dragons and firelizards...I will come back soon to see if you came back, but if I'm not here when you come back I will be at fort hold or wyer...Respettfully Lavaris,

The note is written in a childs somewhat messy scrawl and some of the words are misspelled, but it is evednt from the spaces that the young boy had paused thoughtfully trying to compose his letter with respect, in hope that the masterharper would like him. ~having finished the letter he heads toward the dormitory to leave his bags before heading towards fort.~
