She sighs, somewhat content with her pack, then picks up the bone and jogs over to the den with it. The alpha leans back upon her legs, then springs forward, landing upon the slope that leads to the top of the den. She climbs upon the rock "ceiling" and lays down, chewing on the bone once more. This time, she has a better view of her territory.

The cedars and pines reach for the sky, snow covering their many needles. A white rabbit catches Tlaiga's eye, but she does not chase it. The sun sits high, but does not seem to be very hot in this time of year. Crows flock down to the caribou's remains and begin picking at it, fighting over scraps. The alpha sighs, then flings her bone down upon the ground. She rests her head on her paws and watches, with one eye open, her surroundings.
