Subject: Jumping

Ryan had placed some jump wings in the middle of the arena and set up a cross pole with a groundline with 3 poles beforehand. He now warmed his young stallion up in the top 20m of the arena, trotting and cantering circles on both reins. He brought Spider back to walk, letting him have his head and relax. after a minute or so he gathered his reins again and asked the horse to trot. Ryan circled in front of the little jump and then guided Spider into it. Spider was enjoying his jumping and happily popped over it. Ryan patted him, then dismounted. He rose one side of the pole up so that it was a straight bar, just over 2 foot high. The pair approached the fence again. Spider looked at the fence, but didnt falter. He jumped it neatly, cantering off as Ryan patted him. "Good boy." He said, and decided to end on a good note. He slowed the stallion down to walk and rode him back to the yard.
