 Ah. I read Dave's note at the bottom of Tommy's page. Perhaps Tommy's meeting with Bill is what led to his name being listed in the Our Gang book.

In which case, yeah, I'm thinking this was a matter of either bad memory or bad guessing on Tommy's part. I'll post side by side comparisons when I get a chance. The ClassicFlix releases give us a better look at details of people's faces. I'm quite confident it's the kid from "Readin' and Writin'".
