the clear button doesn't remove the previous quoted post, it removes watyou've written. When I want to remove the quoted post,I use cmd + a to highlight and cmd +delete to remove. I have WebTV. We use a differant method than computer users, but whatever method you use to delete text in a text box or highlight text to C&P should work.
