Well, the aversion is kind of personal. I have never forgotten my teacher in 6th grade trying to force me to say the pledge, only relenting after I threatened to pledge allegiance to a "nation under Wicca." Likewise, I know very well that those people, Brain Theist and their ilk, exist and are real today. Whenever I was close to forgetting that, something occurred and reminded me - once it was Liberator Rev spewing off anti-atheist rhetoric, another time it was Muddleoftheroad doing the same thing albeit somewhat more subtly, and finally it was Tony Blair with his "duty as a Christian."

Second, about Buddhism, I'm an intellectualist. This means that I believe things because I think they're true, not because they are relaxing or anything. So far, I haven't seen any reasonable ground to reject naturalism, so I remain a complete atheist and a naturalist.

Third, I'm always here, I just didn't have anything to say, plus it didn't seem like anyone was reading this forum anyway. I'm updating my site once per a few days, though :-). You kinda picked a bad time to return, though, because right now I'm somewhat busier than usual. In a few days the pressure will most probably be off, though :-).

Fourth, I've read Animal Farm too, and while I liked it, for some reason I couldn't connect to the characters there. Personally, I think 1984 is far better, especially because Animal Farm oversimplifies in many parts.
