What I expect to happen is in the nature of a conventional war laced with occasional use of nuclear weapons, not a suicide pact of mutual destruction across the world.

If India invades Pakistan, if North Korea and China fight, if North Korea invades South Korea, if the border disputes between China and Iran heat up - any of these could cause a major incursion into someones territory and what can the world say if a country that is invaded uses nukes on the invading army? That they can't use nuclear weapons to defend themselves in any way? That seems unlikely to me.

It's going to be a new war and a new warfare, and it will not be fought as past wars were.
