Well, I've got trouble with the current operations in DC in general, this scorched earth business of "nothing will be done if it isn't our way and our way only" is not very pleasing to me. But it's either override or do nothing at all, and I'm also against the "do nothing while Rome burns" option.

And now it looks like Dubai is about to go down the tubes. That's driving the value of the dollar up, and that's deadly to the banks, who've been making money on the carry trade.

I don't think anyone is bold enough to propose another bank rescue.
