Agreed.... and that should be a nice lesson for him. You cant get complacent around heavy equipment. Checking those pins should be something that is done every time! Its kind of like walking up to a horse thats saddled. I dont care who saddled that horse for you, always be sure its cinched tight or you will get hurt. People that ride know this and you wont see them getting on without checking the saddle first.
