Because not everyone cares what the facts are and some are too lazy to look them up. Its sad but I still run into people who say that Obama is a muslim. It doesnt matter that I tell them that its not true..

People love to take in misinformation.. thats why so called 'news' like the National Enquirer and the Star are so popular.
