The little red leans back in his strong arms. She sighs as she snuggles closer. She should feel like a child in the large dragons arm, but she wasn't a child anymore. It wasn't just her age that told her this, it was her body. The way she felt in Depths arms was amazing. She wanted to stay there forever.

A thought comes into her mind. Would he choose a mate soon? He was much older than her and was probably already thinking about it. An ach forms in her heart. He would never choose her. She was too much like a Light not to mention much younger. She reluctantly pushes away, ebon fire orbs filled with pain as she looks up at Depths.

Thank you for listening Depths. I've never told anyone about all of that before because there was no one to tell. Ashes already knew and none of the other dragonling's were interested. Plus, I don't think that they could talk to me anyways. She sighs softly, deciding to change the subject to something else.

Why not ask him about a mate? It wouldn't hurt. Why don't you have a mate Depths? Will you be choosing one soon? I mean, you are of an age when most dragon's choose a mate or already have one. She blushes and thanks her blessing of being a red. None of that had come out right at all. Now he probably knew how she felt about him. He wouldn't laugh, she knew that. He would be kind about it and sweet, telling her that she was too young for him and just thought of her as a friend. Oh well, it was too late to change it now. She'd just have to wait for the pity to enter his voice now. She gazes up at him, keeping silent and trying not to let the tears enter her eyes as they were begging to do.....
