Subject: Leap for the barbarian

So Phule, maybe I'm missing something obvious or maybe it's just cause I haven't played around much with the skill, but what is the exact use for leap? I have the skill and used it like twice out in the open, just to see it. Is the idea that if you're surrounded and about to die that you can leap out of the fray to safety, or is there some other obscure use that I'm overlooking? Cause with my barbarian stealing life and mana with each hit, in the fray is where I want to be, attacking with both my broad swords and average over 40 damage per swing =)
Not that most creatures live past one swing anyway...

- Ahh... now that's why I use Leap Attack instead, and get that bonus to damage (something like +180%) =P [nt] -- Emrys, 05:39:45 07/19/00 Wed
  - ya, but it uses too much Mana...and since I think that in 26 levels I've pumped a total of 5 points into Energy, I don't have much to spare. :-P [nt] -- Mr. Phule, 21:18:36 07/20/00 Thu
    - And I've only put 2 points in mana, but that unique ring I walk around with give me a nice +36 to mana, among other things, and since I leech mana from both swords (compliments of one of the enchantments on my other ring), and since my amulet has one of those "10% damage goes to mana" things on it, mana is no longer an issue, which will be nice when I get to whirlwind.
