Today was just a great day in general. While I'm only getting between 3-4 hours of sleep each night (and as a result I haven't been able to workout for Crew at all), I'm having a great time in Batesville.
Hey Phule, guess what? The office has been re-equiped with 8 P2 450's, with a 32 MB video card. Jim even threw 10x DVD-ROMs on them, and there's a lot of flat screens there too. There are no games that the office can't handle. He's arranging for over 20 people to be there a few days over Christmas Break for a huge slug fest in Tribes and Team Fortress Classic. It's just plain fun. Last night we played Darkstone for awhile, which is a very good game, especially for a rip-off of Diablo. It is 3d with a rotatable view, which is really nice. A lot of it's features sound very much like Diablo 2. It's pretty fun.
Anyhow... it was confirmed today (via Purdue's student services webpage) that I did get a 4.0 for the semester. About an hour after receiving that news I was eating lunch with the CIO of Hillenbrand Industries at Cricket Ridge, and he told me he'd see to it that I got a $4/hour raise. Now that's one helluva raise if you ask me. It's one helluva raise even if you don't ask me. At this rate, I'll be taking a pay cut when I first start a career out of college. If I kept that pay and worked year round, 40 hours a week, I'd be making $30000/year. If you account for future raises (because I still have at least two more summers of working there), I'll be making a pretty penny.
Well, I'm off to take a cat nap before I stay up all night playing video games. It's a rough life. :-P
