My boss, that is very easy, he is brief and to the point. I would be very brief. "Lance, I need just a moment of time to discuss our Tuesday's board meeting. I will be in the office until Noon, (I wish!)" Please call 555-kids!

Client - Hi, this is Dianne at the Ballard Center, there is no emergency in reference to your child. I am returning your message about Ian's tendency to bite other children. I have some great information that I would like to share with you at your convenience, I will be available when you come to get Ian at 3:30 p.m. Please call me at 555-kids.

Spouse - Well, since I don't have one that would be difficult. I know what I would like to say to my ex-spouse though. (Joking, we are really great friends!)

Parent - Hi mom, I am glad that you are visiting in California, but I miss you a great deal! I hope you are well and I want you to know that I think it's great your taking care of my brother. I will call you soon, don't try and catch me as I will probably be at school or work! Love you, D-

Child - Well, that's a little of a stretch as well, however, I will use my niece Emma as an example.
Hi Em, I really was glad to see you last Friday night. I am glad that you still like school and that you continue to do well. I want to schedule some Aunt time with you as soon as your schedule and mine permits. Tell your mom and dad I will call you tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. (Emma is 7 going on 25)

Dog - Hi Case, this is your mom, I miss you very much and will be home soon to give you your dinner! Please do not put your chewy's on the couch as they are a big mess. Love you!

Professor - Professor Harley, this is Dianne Ensminger from your Thursday night Business Communications Class. I am having great difficulty trying to complete all of the work on my informative speech in time to give it Thursday evening. Is there any chance to postphone it until 2004. Again, this is Dianne E-n-s-m-i-n-g-e-r. Thank you for your time. Please call me at 865-tired. Have a great day!
