The first thing we as developing communicators should do is educate ourselves about the cultures at hand. Then we need to educate ourselves about the issues at hand. Educate us with the laws of their land and our land. Then educate others on what we have learned. Educate others about our culture and how it might differ from theirs. Have plenty of discussion and debates to come up with solutions, compromises, agreements, and new laws if need be. It is important to remember that there isn't necessarily any one right or wrong answer and not only one solution. There are many options, research, educate, discuss the issues, and then act upon those decisions in a positive manner for everyone that is involved. I feel that it is wrong to say it is my way or the high way and I’m going to bomb your … on actions that a few people have done who aren’t of the norm in a land. This to me is just the same as the people who attacked us, who thought all Americans do harm to their people. Again these actions feed into people’s attitudes and beliefs that foster stereotypes, prejudice, and racism because it is encouraging the us vs. them scenario instead of a we scenario. We are all human beings with the same needs in order to survive. The best ways to end these things are again by education, discussion, and positive interaction.

My heart pours out to those who have lost loved ones in this war.
