Well put Emily.
So your'e saying that it's the difference in cultures that separate us. Are you saying that the Islamic extremists are guilty of stereotyping? I can see where that would create a "them" vs. "us" mentality. If one group of people thought that "everybody" from another group thought a certain way, I can see where a racist attitude might develop.
