I think we should continue to use the technology without a doubt. Ken has a good point when he says we disappear into the corner when we use the big screen or the overhead projector. We as "speakers" shouldn't rely on the technology to make our presentation for us. We usually rely on technology to change the channel on our T.V. or to shorten the time of cooking our meals, but when we are giving a speech or making a presentation, we should only rely on the technology to "assist" with the presentation.
The next time you're in a class that uses this technology, or if you see a presentation given at your place of work, check to see if the presenter doesn't disappear into the corner.
