I do think that we should be encouraged to use AV equipment. I say this because I am finding more and more that it is a requirement when I go out to do presentations. Although, I do believe that you have to be prepared for an alternative. There is nothing worse than basing your entire presentation upon one AV presentation and to have it fail. Been there, done that. I think that it helps you relax and if carried off well I think it can be a real asset. In my business, it is very hard to get my point across without having visuals.
