The thing that this class has taught us is that when it comes to communication, there is always a source and usually a receiver or an audience. The disconnect occurs when a message is not transmitted and understod as intended. We each play the role of source and receiver every day. When acting as the source, we need to present our message clearly so it can be understood, and when we are the receiver or part of an audience, we need to "listen".
