Subject: Cyber War

Not the stuff we've all seen on forums between individuals. But the real thing.

This latest clash between the Israelis & Palestinians has provided the world a glance of the possible future. The governments of this earth have been keeping a close eye on what has been happening in the Middle East. Might I even surmise that though many of these governments may have stepped in and brought the conflict to an early end, they have indeed chosen to let it go on for the sake of observation and future development of defensive and ofensive weapons in a "cyber war".

It was reported last week in the media that bullets and stones were not the only methods of destruction flying through the air.
The site of HEZBOLLAH (a milititanly anti-Zionist Islamic guerrilla movement) and other Arab World web sites were attacked by thousands of Israeli hackers. When you went to the HEZBOLLAH site you were greeted by an Israeli flag, Hebrew & the Israeli National anthem.
HEZBOLLAH has now changed it's address to www.hizballa.org.
(which has also been hacked)

And after the Israeli hackers (many in their teens) launched their attack, the Arab states struck back with a substained and coordinated retalition by pro-Palestinian supporters, many in the US.
And while Israel enjoys a much higher "technology" rate than it's Arab nations, it also means that it is more vunerable to attack.

And so with this "cyber war" (one that includes the sending of, racist messgaes, porno, virus's and instructions on how to ping, zap and crash the enemies computers), one has to wonder, "where will all this lead"?

Teen hackers are not the only ones at work. Pro's have been probing and sometimes crashing the military and civilian computers on both sides.

Is it a possibility that one day all our military might could be nullified by a simple stroke on a keyboard?
