Dawn came pale and golden in the morning, and still fell the rain though now it was past the storm and pouring. Embers hissed and glowed dully in the hearth. Aeryon rose first, always being an early riser. As the weak sunlight glanced through veils of torn clouds, she was already changed and on her way to the stable. Whickers greeted her as she entered and began to tend to the steed's requirements::
