.:.As the sun fell 'pon his face Parathras awoke and looked out the window, he sighed and pulled on his boots. He walked to the door and stepped into the rain. Oblivious to the rain around him he looked for his dove. Not seeing it he began to worry over it's well being. Then the soft sound of wings caught his ear. He saw a hawk, ivory dove in it's talons, flying toward him. The hawk dropped the dove in Parathras's open palm, it was lifeless. The hawk landed on his shoulder and screeched mournfully. Parathras sighed and stroked the hawk, it had found the dove lifeless, struck by the lightning. Walking back inside, the hawk still on his shoulder he sat on the bed and gazed with disbelief at the dead dove.:.
