[Saskatoon, SK] In a move to improve his club's power play unit, Saskatoon Silos GM Ken McKenna inked veteran left wing John LeClair to a 4-year deal. LeClair had become a free agent after having his contract bought out by the Winnipeg Wolves.

The Silos sport the worst power play in the GWHL, having scored just five goals with the man advantage so far this season. Prior to their last game, a 6-4 loss to Steeltown, the team had notched just three power play goals.

LeClair returns to the Silos after having been traded two season ago. To make room for the big left wing, the club released veteran Trent Klatt.

Although the team realizes they are not getting the same player they had a couple of years back, they are obviously happy to have LeClair back in the fold.

"John is a big body with a good scoring touch", said McKenna. "We've had a number of close games this year where our power play may have made the difference, so we think this signing will help move us toward .500 and perhaps the final playoff slot."
