Pulling the trigger on a deal that had been in the works with Whitehorse. The Lasers, who are looking to avoid being eliminated from the playoffs by a margin of overtime losses for the second year in a row, aquired Sandis Ozolinsh. Ozolinsh will strengthen the Lasers backend and add much need depth on the D. He also brings the ability to run the PP with Hamerlik and Lidstrom. He will help the Lasers with his experience and leadership as well. The Lasers are one point out of the playoffs but Montreal has a game in hand. Last year London was eliminated by one point but would have made the playoffs if overtime loses counted as a point. This year it is looking like those valuable points will be the difference again.
