[Saskatoon, SK] With perhaps the most highly anticipated draft in GWHL history shortly in the offing, the Saskatoon Silos are rumored to be interested in acquiring a first round pick in this draft.

With several 2007 draft picks in hand and some, good young talent in reserve, the Silos would appear to be in a position to make a deal for a higher draft pick.

For his part, Silos GM Ken McKenna has done nothing to downplay the idea that they might be interested in dealing.

"There is some great talent in this draft, particularly in the top 10", nodded McKenna. "Plus, there are a few guys going back into the hopper that merit consideration in the first round, so that helps to make this some kind of draft."

But, with two seconds and four thirds in hand, the Silos are still in a great position to add some very good talent to their already deep pool, even if they fail to make a deal.

"We might need to make some room for six new prospects", agreed the GM, "but I don't see that as a bad thing. A lot depends on who we draft, though."
