Christopher, It is good that you are comfortable with stereotypical gender roles being mixed. It makes for a more harmonious home life. And one that that was mentioned in another piece was that household chores can be divided by who would rather do the work or who is better at a particular chore.
It is also good that your parents allowed you the freedom to dream and the incouragement to reach for your dreams. I sure hope you and your partner continue along that road.
