this board's really slowing down! Well, I have some info that I just discovered today. Maybe it's already been discussed, but since no one's posted in a while, it wouldn't hurt to bring it up, right?
Firstly, you know how there are so many parallels to Tokyo Babylon in X? I was reading the last volume in class today, and what that little girl said at the very end caught my attention (plus what she says gets two full pages, which means, "This is important!"). She said, "Maybe all people who do bad things are lonely".
Fuma does bad things, mainly torturing Kamui. Maybe Fuma does bad things because he is lonely.
Saying that, remember when he was talking to Kakyou before getting ready to face Kamui in the (possibly) final battle? I don't remember the exact words he said (feel lazy, don't want to run upstairs to look, anyone know), but it was along the lines of, "And will your wish be granted?", and, not KAMUI, but FUMA made a lonely face, which really surprised Kakyou. So, Fuma disappears and Kakyou says, "That wasn't KAMUI just now, that was...". Is Fuma lonely, and his loneliness took the form of KAMUI, and that's why Kamui can't reach Fuma? So why would Fuma be lonely? Perhaps he was jealous of Kotori's and Kamui's relationship, and felt a huge surge of loneliness when Kamui chose a side to join and left Fuma to join the opposing one? So, instead of becoming just another Kamui, his loneliness made him become this "KAMUI that does bad things". Does this make sense? I really think this is a major thing. I think it ties in with Kamui's wish somehow.
