yeah, and the messages the clamp chicks want to give us in both series are alike sometimes. like the one you pointed out down there.

"Maybe all people who do bad things are
>lonely".
>
>Fuma does bad things, mainly torturing Kamui. Maybe
>Fuma does bad things because he is lonely.

yeah, but I think itīs not only about Fuuma. The DoE Kamui is lonely as well. As Kusanagi told Yuzuriha once, "that guy is at the same time everyone and no one, an empty body that seems to become what people want to see". Fuuma is lonely because Kamui wants to bring him back even if that means heīll see the last important person to him dead in his arms once it happens(at the moment the DoE Kamui kills Kamui--who is still not the DoH Kamui, important to remeber this!--and, since the Kamuis then will be no longer necessary cause weīll have a winner already, Fuuma returns and...tadah! blood, a giant sword and Kamui dead in his arms. Sweet way of protecting his best friend for Kotori, huh?).

>
"And will your
>wish be granted?", and, not KAMUI, but FUMA made a
>lonely face, which really surprised Kakyou. So, Fuma
>disappears and Kakyou says, "That wasn't KAMUI just
>now, that was...".

yeah, I still donīt get that. DoE Kamui behaves like both him and Fuuma at the same time, but thatīs incoherent. I mean, Fuuma couldnīt just show up suddenly knowing of everything thatīs happening. That doensīt make sense specially when we rememeber that, before Kamui made his choice in X8, Fuuma couldnīt remember the moments when his Kamui self showed up as a consequence of Kamuiīs thoughts on his final decision.

Is Fuma lonely, and his loneliness
>took the form of KAMUI, and that's why Kamui can't
>reach Fuma? So why would Fuma be lonely? Perhaps he
>was jealous of Kotori's and Kamui's relationship, and
>felt a huge surge of loneliness when Kamui chose a
>side to join and left Fuma to join the opposing one?
>So, instead of becoming just another Kamui, his
>loneliness made him become this "KAMUI that does bad
>things". Does this make sense? I really think this is
>a major thing. I think it ties in with Kamui's wish
>somehow.

well yeah, its a major thing, but, honestly, quiet-gentle-Fuuma becoming a psycho because Kamui loved his sister and "left him to be the DoE Kamui"..hey! Fuuma had no idea about what his father meant about him being Kamuiīs whatever and that "Kamuiīs twin star will soon awaken..." He is there for Kamui till decision time, but he has no idea of his role until the DoE Kamui takes him over. Plus, in such a complex plot, a simple personality shift seems so...ilogical. X may be mystic, but there are reasons for everything. If people could become psychos out there because of love delusions, hey, we wouldnīt need another Kamui and an apocaliptic plot. Iīm sorry, but Fuuma being lonely because of Kamuiīs wish is so much possible, though I understand what you mean by "his loneliness took the form of Kamui". After all, humans who believe humanity should be extinct must feel absolutely delusioned and lonely. I think the conclusion you tried to make was about the DoE Kamuiīs reasons, which, in my opinion, are contradictory: at the same time the DoE Kamui wants humanity to disappear, he knows that by doing that(killing Kamui) heīll leave Fuumaīs body, cause his duty will be over, and heīll once again make a personīs selfish wish come true(Kamuiīs) and make another person unhappy(Fuuma). And, come to think about it, THAT is the reason he wants humanity to disappear. So how can he do the same to make Earthīs wish reality? Heīs in a pretty complicated situation. He knows that itīs impossible that both he and Kamui can be happy together--option one, Kamui kills him, saves humanity, doesnīt bring Fuuma back to a sad reality, but lives unhappy for the rest of his life; option two, he kills Kamui, Fuuma comes back torn apart because of that, though the DoE, therefore Earth win.

In other words, we need a third option. But how, since we have two teams, two possible futures, two Kamuis and two shinkens? And so many people have already died and lost their reasons...the resolution must be a great thing. I hope clamp doesnīt disappoint us and prove why X is considered one of their best works(cause the end of the anime sucked already, which means, I hope, something much better will come in the manga).
