Wow, wow, wow! I really liked your ideas ^^ They are, in some points, like mine!
Well, I DO agree with you that Hinoto is a major character in the whole series. As when Tokiko was about to tell Kamui about his father, yes, it could be... but Hinoto kidnapping her, I think is because she knew Tokiko was the one with the other Shinken so that she could stole the other one... Hinoto is such a complex character!

Let me tell you this... I don't think it's really relevant but...
You all do know that Kamui has two scar in both hands due to the event on X-8 when Fuuma becomes the DoE. So, if you go the page 76 of X-14 (a scene where the good Hinoto is talking about that dream) you can see Kamui's hand. And there's no scar at all!!! They are in his hands in all the other dreams, but no in this one (this is the only page where we can see his hands).
A CLAMP mistake? I don't think so... they are so detailed... they don't forget to draw it in each time Kamui's hand is on the page. Maybe that's a hint saying that it's not Kamui.
