Subject: Think about it!

It takes time, a good heart, a genuine interest in the welfare of the residents, common sense and integrity to be on a Board. It takes a person that is not interested in a title, but sometimes being satisfied working behind the scenes; but always mindful he/she is working towards a common thread which benefits all, not just to satisfy a few. It takes open mindedness and pure motives. It does take time to prepare yourself for a meeting. It takes time to speak with as many Farm residents as possible and to reach out to those with problems. It takes time to solve resident's problems rather than becoming the problem. It takes time to understand the employees, and where they are coming from. It takes time to explore ideas and all the possibilites for the future betterment of The Farm. It takes time to present an idea to the Board. It takes time to be a BOARD MEMBER, not a BOARD RULLER!
It appears to me there are individuals on the FPOA Board that do not know what these qualities mean let alone have them. They don't have the foggiest notion. They seem to be unable (or unwilling) to comprehend the laws as written. To them it is a big question mark. This is evident and visible during the meetings. where Board members sit and listen to their fellow members with a face as if they think: "What in the heck are you talking about"?
Mind you they then vote and actually think that they know what they are doing.
May be it is time the residents on The Farm revolt and recall certain individuals on the Board. However, as long as there is such apathy from The Farm residents we are going to continue to have this level of representation. Would there be enough residents who are willing to step forward and bring with them the afore mentioned qualities to serve on The Farm Board? We need individuals who will represent us in a cohesive manner. Will there be Farm residents to step forward that have integrity, common sense, time and a heart to serve The Farm as it so rightly deserves to be served?
