From what I can tell and with my professional experience in escrow and Real Estate Law there are too many for what needs to be done. Again BOD this is a NON PROFIT corporation organized as mandated under California Civil Code Section 1350-1376 aka Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act, including California Business and Professions Code 11000 - 11200 and Non-Profit California Corporations 7110-8910. Instead of raising dues it is the BOD's responsibility and duty to research how the budget can be streamlined and made more cost efficient. I wouldnt want anyone to lose a job, but I have been through big corporate and small company layoffs due to financial situations. But again we are not a business. Are 9 maintenance people really validated? 3 clerical employees. Many HOA's that do their own bookkeeping/accounting utilize one experienced person. This person handles recording of assessments received, sends out statements, handles incoming requests from escrow companies and daily recording of funds received and accounts payable. I am more and more convinced that we need to contact a public auditor (or even Dept. of Corporations) to review all accounts of the Farm Property Owners Association. How does everyone else feel? I really have very little confidence that anyone on that board will explain or offer documents to validate whats been going on and the more time we waste trying to get answers the more of OUR money they spend.

how many people
>work in maintenance? are these 40 hour work week
>positions?
