The bookkeeper is the daughter of a member of the BOD?? Everyone but me knows what each employee makes? Thought this was strickly confidential! I've been here a long time and didn't know any of this. Re: Gazette. Sorry Maggie but you are wrong re: the Gazette. A few years ago, we looked into a VERY espensive copy machine, and found out, outside printing was the way to go. Also, just to let you and others know, The Gazette hasn't touched the money allowed by the BOD budget in several years. In fact Maggie, in 2000, we gave the BOD over $1500.00, and in 2001 we gave them over $1400.00! Does this sound like an expense to you? We, the members of the Gazette committee, are sorry you don't enjoy our publication. We, have enjoyed working on it, and will continue to for what I hope will be many years to come. If you would like proof of what I am writting, please call Ben Fetterman, the co-editor, and he'll be happy to show you the proof of what I am saying. And sorry, I can't agree w/ heating the pools in the winter. How many people really go swimming when it's in the 30's? I, like you think there are MANY ways the BOD could cut costs. And no, I don't go to the meetings any more...my husband put his foot down about that several years ago, because it was too upsetting to me. Apparently, nothing has changed. But, you go girl! You raise many good questions...get the answers!
