  I just wanted to thank everyone that signed my shirt that I will be taking to Iraq with me this winter. It really warms my heart to know that there is such a wonderful support group like the "Cindy Family". During my deployment, my family will have a much harder time dealing with the seperation since they will have the time to think about it more than I will. Knowing that all of you will be there for my family while I'm gone is just wonderful. I will be taking photos of the shirt while in Iraq and sending them back so everyone can see how far you have reached and touched.   Dear State Participants,
  Can you believe Texas State is finally here? Only 1 week from today, and we will be moving to College Station to begin this years Texas State Pageant. My office has been working hard preparing for what I believe, will be one of our best state pageants to date.
  
  I am excited about all of you attending this year, and want each of you to have a wonderful experience by keeping the Magic of Cinderella alive. I know you can't wait to meet new friends, see old friends, participate in friendly competition and PARTY, PARTY, PARTY! We have alot in store for you - I know you won't be disappointed.
  
  For our annual souvenir party - I ask each of you to bring small souvenir gifts from your area. Listed below are the numbers of how many participants will be in your group. I also want you to include the judges, staff and royalty when distributing your gifts. I have included that number below as well. I asked earlier in the year for the Babies/PC's to bring 50 and Cinderella's to bring 75. Its up to you - if you want to bring for just your group you can, or if you want to bring something for your entire pageant, thats fine too. Just simply add up the numbers to the age groups you would like to include. Distribution times will be given on your Final Schedules at registration.
  
  You will also receive a statement of your account over the weekend via email. This will give you last minute instructions and list your balances owed. This must be paid in Cash, Cashiers Check, Visa, Mastercard or Money Order upon arrival to state. If you have a special circumstance, please contact the state office.
  
  We will have a full service giftshop available to you with fabulous new t-shirts, official Cinderella clothing, jewelry, garment & tote bags and much much more! We will also accept Visa & Mastercard in the giftshop this year.
  
  For all you Cinderella Tots - Jadyn has asked that you bring your favorite teddy bear with you to state this year! She is having something special for you that will include your teddy bears. Please don't forget!
  
  Don't forget to order your Video & Photo packages from Mr. Richard - see his banner ad on the board and print off the special discounted order form he has for you and bring with you to registration.
  
  We have 126 participants this year and one of the largest Prince Charming classes we have ever had! 14 Prince Charmings will be gracing our stage this year so watch out girls...here comes the boys! I want all of you to come excited, prepared and ready to spend one of the most memorable weeks of your life. Texas State 2009.....what kind of magic is it??

Tanya's Mother-In-Law is still in Inpatient Rehab and is going through some more trying times as test results are coming back abnormal.   As you get closer and closer to your State and International pageants, criticism of your talent, modeling, and interview may cause you to have many different responses. And though in most every case the critique you receive will be intended to benefit you, often your response can lead to negative results. At this point, that is exactly the direction in which you don’t want head.
  
  Criticism:
  
  1. the act of passing judgment as to the merits of anything.
  2. the act of passing severe judgment; censure; faultfinding.
  3. the act or art of analyzing and evaluating or judging the quality of a literary or artistic work, musical performance, art exhibit, dramatic production, etc. --Dictionary.com
  
  Most people seem to take criticism as defined in number 2 above. If defined by words like severe, censure, and faultfinding, I can see why people react poorly when receiving criticism. However, even with the passive terms used in definitions 1 and 3, the trouble in accepting constructive criticism may come from a lack of confidence in ourselves and what we are doing. So often it is this self doubt that causes us to get upset and become defensive when we are criticized. When we trust ourselves it allows us to remain open, take in what we are being told, really hear, and then process the information (criticism) given to us by those with whom we are working. Rather than just reacting, take a moment to look for the truths in criticism. Remove yourself, and like a helicopter, hover above the situation looking at it as a whole, not just the part that is being criticized.
  
  Everyone can make judgments and criticize, and all comments may have merit. However, especially at his point in your preparations, those closest to you are more than likely looking out for your best interest. So, be gentle with them (and yourself) as you work together towards a great week and presenting yourself to be the best you are able to be.

• I want to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU to Shane Schafer, Chris Frederick, Steve New & Edmund Clark, Jr. for your assistance in getting to Kylie's Dad, Keith, so quickly after his knee buckled, and for putting him in the car for me. Thank you to Ms. Darra, Ms. Kathy & Mr. Earl, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Beverly and everyone else who watched Kylie while we made a trip to the ER. It is suspected that Keith has torn his ACL on his left knee, but we will have to wait to get an MRI at the orthopedic doctor for verification. All of the Cinderella girls who were at Ms. Kathy's when this happened were appreciated so very much for keeping Kylie occupied while we were gone. Sara and Ms. Darra, thank you both for taking Kylie for a ride on the jet ski, also! I have always said that our Cinderella family comes through in times of need, and this is just one more instance where that shows!   I am a bit nerves for state on at the end of june. Lilly is normally a very outgoing little girl. But for some reason we get up there on stage and she wants to be held. We have tried her daddy going up me going up. I am at a lose. We have diff. outfits picked out, shoes, purse, and even went and got new photos done. What can I do to get her comfy on stage. We live in Arlington so if anyone is near us and can help let me know. Also I wanted to know if anyone wanted to share a room with us Friday-Monday. I also can make hair bows and handpainted outfits for anyone that might want them. God bless and I hope everyone is having a great summer so far.

  • A great way is to stand behind them on the "x" and tell them somrthing funny by the ear or tickle them to get them to laugh, that way you get a great smile for the judges to see!! Always talk up going on stage like it is a treat for them and the most important thing is NOT to let them see you get anxious !!   We are so excited and can't wait to see everyone.
  I am also bringing the Stuff Happens items. The Pixie Stick machine, The Bracelet and croc charms (new this year) and the stuffing machine with dolls and animals to choose from.
  The croc charms and bracelets are really neat! We have a great selection for Cinderella. Cinderella, frogs and more. Plus our other charms. The croc charms can be used in shoes or the bracelets.
  New this year too, we have dolls you can make!
  We do have a small selection of Cindy clothes for the dolls or animals.
  Miss Kelli will have all her wonderful Cindy items too!
