Subject: my dog has an abcess in his neck

My dog has a huge abcess under his neck. The doctor recommended that he drain it, but I cannot afford it. I have heard some people have home remedies. How can I drain it myself? I did purchase the antibiotics and pain pills, but it is not draining much. Suggestions?
