I had a similar experience when doing something for someone that I didn't want to do. The perfume odor came as a surprise and penetrated the room. I took it as an approval of what I did and an encouragement to perform more selfless acts.

Fred, did you begin to wear the scapular of Our Lady after this happened to you?
