Well the girls played their first games on the weekend at the Mulgrave TON... they played really well, putting in 100%... the first game saw the girls take on a tall Burdiken team... with the scores fairly close in the first half our girls stepped up a notch to take the game by more than 20 points... Well done gals! first ever rep game for them all and first ever rep win!
That afternoon (saturday) saw the girls matching up with a very big and fast townsville lightning team with the coach from hell.... after the scores being locked at quarter time Towsville took the lead and kept running.... Mulgrave played supurbly that game but just couldnt match the speed and skill of townsville, it might be because we only training for 2 weeks before the tournament!! well done girls for putting up a fight and never giving up..

Sunday saw Mulgrave take on already ARCH rivals (even though we have never played them before) CAIRNS 2... From the start we knew the game was gonna stay close. After a few shonky decisions from the officials (who doesnt know that if the ball hits the support on the backboard the basket CANT count!) we got over that! and finished the game well winning by 6 points! well done girls! great weekend! hope you all had a good time! :) seeya all on friday night! thanks to all the parents and Darren and Linda for all your help!
